Founded in 2020, Narwhal Financial Services Pte Ltd (Narfin™), is a Singapore headquartered FinTech spin-off from Singapore Management University (SMU) with 2 grants awarded from SMU and SMART (Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology).

This is following a successful multi-year R&D project at SMU’s School of information Systems developing a digital teaching bank platform (SMU tBank) with the state-of-the-art design.

The Core Engine of SMU tBank was implemented in O-Bank in Taiwan, which went from zero to go-live within 1 year, and won “Best Digital Bank” in 2018.
